We are a local firm with a national reach and we are looking to appoint an ambitious Scottish qualified Employment Law Solicitor to join our multi-award-winning employment law team.
Are you agile and adaptable, able to operate in a constantly changing environment? Do you have a methodical thought-process, good reasoning and excellent communication skills? If so, please read on.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The successful candidate will be a Scottish qualified employment law solicitor and will act as first point of contact for clients to provide advice and support on a full range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters including disciplinary, grievance, settlement agreements, unfair dismissal, discrimination, restrictive Covenants, TUPE, redundancy and reorganisation including the consultation processes, risk areas, and practicalities.
You will undertake fee earning work, working both independently with minimal supervision and as a member of the team, drafting and preparing employment tribunal claims, employment contracts or other legal documentation and representing clients (individuals and organisations) in Employment Tribunal proceedings, from Acas Early Conciliation through to representation at full hearings.
We offer a different way of working, allowing you to escape the traditional law firm environment and swap the typical constraints and 9 to 5 hours for a more modern, flexible and innovative environment where your contribution will make a real difference. You will maintain existing relationships with the company’s clients and help develop new relationships with third party referrers.
There will be opportunities to develop existing relationships with our growing base of retained SME clients and to assist and help develop a successful litigation department and build a team around you that you will ultimately lead and develop further as the business continues to grow, giving you genuine control over your career progression.
We are offering a competitive salary, a 36.5 hour working week, 35 days annual leave, pension, private health insurance, excellent benefits, career progression and a modern, progressive working environment with free on-site parking.
