Employment Law Solicitor

We are a local firm with a national reach and we are looking to appoint an ambitious Scottish qualified Employment Law Solicitor to join our multi-award-winning employment law team.

ABOUT YOU

Are you agile and adaptable, able to operate in a constantly changing environment? Do you have a methodical thought-process, good reasoning and excellent communication skills? If so, please read on.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The successful candidate will be a Scottish qualified employment law solicitor and will act as first point of contact for clients to provide advice and support on a full range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters including disciplinary, grievance, settlement agreements, unfair dismissal, discrimination, restrictive Covenants, TUPE, redundancy and reorganisation including the consultation processes, risk areas, and practicalities.

You will undertake fee earning work, working both independently with minimal supervision and as a member of the team, drafting and preparing employment tribunal claims, employment contracts or other legal documentation and representing clients (individuals and organisations) in Employment Tribunal proceedings, from Acas Early Conciliation through to representation at full hearings.

You will maintain existing relationships with the company’s clients and help develop new relationships with third party referrers.

There will be opportunities to develop existing relationships with our growing base of retained SME clients and to assist and help develop a successful litigation department and build a team around you that you will ultimately lead and develop further as the business continues to grow, giving you genuine control over your career progression.

THE PACKAGE
